Fake Friends

Tue Sep 30, 2008, 5:12 PM
I'm addicted to Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass on the DS. Seriously, it owns me.

I have had to go to the ER twice now, once for chest pains (I apparently pulled a chest wall muscle. I dunno how, I'm just talented like that) and the other because I got a stomach bug, that made me physically sick repeatedly and I couldn't eat or drink between bouts. Got dehydrated and they had to give me an IV to replenish fluids. The fluids, however, had sugar, and I'm hypoglycemic, so that my blood sugar went WAY off to nearly coma range ... yeah, it just sucked and that was a long night.

Despite that, the pregnancy has been going well. Another week and a half and (hopefully) we get to find out the gender. *woo!*

I worked on my 3D robot model the other day. I want to learn Maya, despite the things I hear about it, but don't want to start that adventure until I finish my work-in-progresses that I already have going/planned, including the robot animation.

Update Stuff

I live! I breathe! And I'm feeling fat, even though I haven't gained any weight yet. *lol*

But anyway, despite my silence, all's been going well over here. Baby's doing great, and the sonograms were cool (I've had 2 now). Nearly out of the first trimester, and still feel ucky from time to time, but its gradually getting better so I'm starting to try to play again. :)

I even posted one of my doodles today but it went in the scraps ... I left it there since I've already started working on coloring it in Illustrator. :D

I've still have 2 different 3D models that I have started that I REALLY want to finish. One is still in the modeling stage so its got a way to go, but the other I'm nearly done with, I just have to finish rigging it and do the animating. The rigging process has never been my friend so I'm kind of nervous about it... but I WILL conquer this though! *pumps fist in the air*

Good news and bad news

Tue Jul 29, 2008, 9:45 AM
Good news is that I'm pregnant. Both me and hubby are pretty excited about it ... I'm about 6 weeks and we're going for the first sonogram on Friday. :D

The bad news is I'm sick and tired all the time (literally), so not much has gotten accomplished lately. Thus my inactiveness lately.

I have been trying to draw some, and I have a few sketches that I've started that have potential... I just don't feel like doing much lately so I haven't gotten around to finishing them.

I've been told it should get better after the first trimester and I hope so.

Updatey Post

I live, just been busy busy.

I see dA itself has been busy busy too. I was just starting figuring out the site and now I'm totally lost and confused again...

My birthday was great, and I got some great gifts, including a snazzy mp3 player to jam to my music all the time, and a Nintendo DS with Brain Age and Pokemon : Diamond (I know that's a huge opening for teasing. However, I really liked the early ones on the gameboy, and I know a friend of mine is obsessed with with Diamond, so I think this one will be fun too. :) ) I haven't played the Diamond game yet but I've been enjoying Brain Age thus far.

Also, I got a new monitor which is pretty big and wide (22 inch). I love it. :D Hubby hasn't done it yet but he's going to hook up my old monitor too so I have that double screen set up for my digital stuff. He's waiting on me to rearrange my desk to make room for it.

I'm not sure how the two screen thing will work or if I'll even like it, but, hey, it sounds neat. :D

I had a friend come in town from out of state right after my birthday, which was awesome. We had a blast, and did a ton of stuff. After that, I've been slammed working on a freelance project for the chamber of commerce. This equaled my total and utter fail on Artgrind. *sad*

Probably just as well, since there are other things I need to be practicing more on, like my 3D and my portfolio.

Random but I recently discovered Ouran High School Host Club. It's weird and very out there but wonderfully cracktastic. Thus, I've found myself completely addicted to yet ANOTHER fandom. *lol*

First Journal *whoot*

Mon Jun 30, 2008, 10:12 PM
Yes, I've had this account forever but never did anything with it until recently. I'm gradually get dA figured out, though, and getting my stuff uploaded. I wish I had done since sooner, though. Everybody that I've met so far on dA has been very supportive and encouraging. :D

I figured its time to be brave and try out the journal feature.

Baby steps. :D

About me... I'm female, married, live in Texas, and just graduated recently in March with my Bachelor's in Computer Animation from Westwood College Online. Eventually I might upgrade the account and put some of my animation up here. (I think only upgraded accounts can upload videos, right?)

I am also a hopeless anime and manga addict. I love Naruto, Bleach, Dragonball Z, Fruits Basket, FullMetal Alchemist, Death Note, and tons of others. I also love video games, writing, and reading.

I'm crazy and currently subjecting myself to a character drawing challenge on the artgrind community on Livejournal where you draw the same character every day for 6 months, while also trying to my main job and do some freelance. Surprisingly, I'm actually keeping up with it, even though some are really fast sketches. (Yay for doodles counting!)

My birthday is this Wednesday. Yay!

Lesse, what else... Programs that I use are Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, AfterEffects, and 3DS Max. I'm working on learning Maya.
